Approaching Nefab, this customer needed a packaging solution to transport leather coated interiors. The parts, among them dashboards and door panels, needed to be sent in sets from the leather fabricator to final assembly lines. They asked NEFAB to present a solution consisting of a nonstandard size plastic container with a liner which cannot scratch the leather parts.
The customer provided 32 samples, one of each different part in the set, which the liner fabricator used to prepare a ‘multi-pocket’ solution together with the NEFAB salesman. The final solution was a returnable plastic container with a non-woven multi-pocket textile liner.
