The customer’s previous packaging was a corrugated box with a wooden pallet. Additionally, they included four wooden stacking posts inside the box to prevent damages when stacking, due to the weakness of the corrugated. The stacking posts were causing problems due to excess waste, splinters and dust.

The Nefab solution proposed and implemented was a RePak T reusable, collapsible plywood box with a low frame, making the box more resistant to heavy and bulky goods. The outer dimensions were 1200x1000x800 with a possibility of adding extra height through RePak P collars, also collapsible and reusable. The number of boxes this was implemented for was 2.000 units. The first flow was from their Lithuania plant to their customer service centre in France. The second flow was between their Portugal and Spain plants.
