1. NEFAB – Core values
A contribution to the economic, social and environmental development is a priority for us as well as a sustainable development.
Nefab´s good name and trusted brand must always be protected. As a responsible company our minimum standards are to obey the law, our Code of conduct goes beyond compliance with laws and regulations. We expect all employees to uphold the highest standard of ethical behaviour and integrity. If ever in doubt of what is right in a given situation a good guide is to ask ourselves if we want to read about it in the newspaper.
Our most important and primary guideline is to satisfy our customer, both internally and externally. We will get satisfied customers by recognizing our values, knowhow and competence that we possess.
Our objective is to deliver Quality products, which we can be proud of. We will serve our customers in an honest, humble and at the same time quick and proactive way. Our way of working shall be recognized by flexibility and entrepreneurship.
Although we will be known to our customers as a generous and professional organization, we shall use assets with cost awareness which means that we shall refrain from luxury and we have a responsibility to protect the assets entrusted to us by our shareholders. Misuse for personal benefit or careless handling is not acceptable.
The ethical standards of our managers will define the ethics of the organization they are set to lead and develop, managers are our role models. We treat others with respect and we show this respect to every individual around the world both inside and outside of the company.
2. Code of conduct
2.1 Human rights
NEFAB supports and respects the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights and makes sure that we are not complicit in human rights abuses.
2.2 Labour standards
2.2.1 Freedom of association
As local or relevant laws allows, all employees are free to form, join or not to join unions and have the right to collective bargaining when employed by NEFAB.
2.2.2 Forced and compulsory labour
No form of forced or compulsory labour is tolerated by NEFAB and all employees have the right to leave their employment as stated by contracts or local laws.
2.2.3 Child labour
We are not complicit in any form of child labour or other forms of exploitation of the child. No one is employed below the completion of compulsory school or under the age of 15 and no one under the age of 18 is employed for hazardous work within NEFAB.
2.2.4 Work place
NEFAB shall provide a working environment that is healthy, safe and in accordance with international standards and local laws for all employees.
2.2.5 Discrimination
Diversity amongst NEFAB employees is a positive attribute and no one regardless of race, colour, sex, sexual orientation, nationality, parental status, marital status, pregnancy, religion, political opinion, ethnic background, social origin, social status, age, union membership or disability shall be discriminated. Harassments in the form of physical or psychological abuse are strongly prohibited within NEFAB as are any kinds of intimidation or other threats.

2.3.1 Precautionary approach
Sustainable development is a key word for NEFAB and finite resources is avoided as often as possible NEFAB also has a precautionary approach towards environmental challenges which means that we avoid dangerous materials when suitable and more environmentally friendly alternatives are available.
2.3.2 Environmental responsibility
Innovative developments in products and services that offer environmental and social benefits are as well as a greater environmental responsibility promoted and supported by NEFAB.
2.4 Anti-corruption
NEFAB´s reputation and of honesty, integrity and responsibility must be uphold and any involvement in bribery, extortion or corruption is not tolerated by NEFAB in any form.
2.5 Consumer interests
When dealing with consumers, NEFAB act in accordance with fair business, marketing and advertising practices. NEFAB also ensures that provided goods or services meet all agreed and legal standards.
2.6 Science and Technology
As a global company, NEFAB ensures that their activities are compatible with the science and technology policies in each country that they operate in. NEFAB contributes to the long term development of the host country in which they perform science and technology development.
2.7 Competition
NEFAB is conducting their activities according to applicable laws and regulations and also refraining from entering into anti competitive agreements.
2.8 Taxation
NEFAB is complying with local tax laws and regulations and takes every opportunity available for the correct determination of taxes.
2.9 Violations
When you know NEFAB´s code of conduct has been violated, then please report this to your HR representative. Violations to this code can result in disciplinary action.
