Green Efforts & Improvements

Green EnvironmentNefab ensures its packaging:

Uses renewable raw material resources

Whether the packaging material is wood based or other, Nefab ensures that anything it takes out of the ground they do their best to replace. For example, the forests where Nefab plywood is supplied from worldwide, additional trees are planted to replace them.

Material is not taken from rainforest or other very important regions

Nefab's sourcing and procurement are dedicated to ensuring the public, Nefab customers and others of interest, that Nefab in no-way uses materials from sensitive environmental areas such as rainforests.

Uses only non-toxic glue

In all applications that require glue, (potentially needed in inner packaging applications) Nefab ensures its glue is always non-toxic. This applies to all Nefab locations worldwide.

Spends resources on returnables such as

  • Research & development efforts to better improve the product/development
  • Key staff members devoted entirely to returnable sales, development, areas of application, etc
  • Consistent mention of the benefits of returnables where the system could work

Ensures their packaging is completely recyclable after use

All Nefab packaging can be recyclable. In certain cases, special facilities are used to ensure the material can be separated and recycled to avoid excess waste in landfills.

Lightweight Packaging Material ...

Nefab's own ExPak, RePak, Lightweight Pallet. These Nefab products, and many other products supplied by Nefab are 20-50% lighter than standard alternative solutions. For the best example, Nefab's ExPak (Plywood Box) uses plywood vs. the industry standard nailed solid wood crate (significant weight reduction). The Nefab ExPak in addition uses no nails in the manufacturing and assembling process.

Transport methods use less fuel to transport goods

Nefab has wholly owned and developed software called Optico, that is dedicated to optimising containers, trucks, warehouse etc... The Optico software program focusses on the overall weight of product, external dimensions of packaging, stacking strength, handling, and much more to achieve optimal results.

Ability to optimise containers that max out in weight

As mentioned previously, the Nefab ExPak & RePak outer packaging materials offer customers the ability to maintain the same inner dimensions of their packaging while decreasing the external dimensions allowing optimised solutions. This is done through lightweight material that offers the same if not enhanced strength.
