EdgePak Straw is a highly resistant sustainable packaging solution that is biodegradable and easily recyclable. It consists of cardboard and straw, which are composed of strong, water-resistant fibers that improve the ratio between resistance and weight of the packaging solution.

When to use it? 

  • Stacking strength - EdgePak Straw provides a stacking strength exceeding 4 tons.

  • Flexible system - A wide variety of combinations can be designed based on flow and product, and it is built to easily adapt to standard pallets, making it a flexible system.

  • All type of applications - Ideal sustainable packaging solution for heavy machine components, automotive CKD flows, pumps, valves, servers, parts or machines bolted to its pallet base.

Why is Strawboard strong?

EdgePak Straw evolved from a heavy-duty corrugated solution to a sustainable packaging with lower cost and increased stacking strength. 

The compact, wet mechanical process makes straw pulp more resistant to moisture than paper. The straw fibers are short (not flexible) but very stiff compared to wood fiber, when combining the layers, it gives the material great strength.
