Nefab enables improvements for Saflex

Optimized solutions lead to improved bottom line for Eastman

Eastman Procurement Manager  - Mexico, Antonio Maceda Maceda, along with others at Eastman worked with Nefab Mexico S.A. de C.V. to optimize packaging crates and saddle foam in support of Advanced Materials for Saflex products. The objective in this supplier collaboration effort was to fulfill increased customer orders by reducing costs, decreasing safety stock levels and reducing lead times. Several innovative solutions emerged from the work including light weighting of the crates and relocation of Nefab manufacturing capacities closer to the Santo Toribio site. The resulting benefits to Eastman will yield significant value creation and safety stock reduction, as well as a reduced carbon footprint.

This is yet another example how a good collaboration can yield innovative solutions that befits Eastman’s bottom line.

    Meet Alexandre

    Alexandre is the Frenchman who has been around the world before he established himself in Son, Netherlands to work for Nefab as a Senior Packaging Engineer. He joined us in 2009 and since then has worked for Nefab in four countries. He is currently involved in developing our Last Mile Optimization service.
