Nefab enables improvements for Saflex

Optimized solutions lead to improved bottom line for Eastman

Eastman Procurement Manager  - Mexico, Antonio Maceda Maceda, along with others at Eastman worked with Nefab Mexico S.A. de C.V. to optimize packaging crates and saddle foam in support of Advanced Materials for Saflex products. The objective in this supplier collaboration effort was to fulfill increased customer orders by reducing costs, decreasing safety stock levels and reducing lead times. Several innovative solutions emerged from the work including light weighting of the crates and relocation of Nefab manufacturing capacities closer to the Santo Toribio site. The resulting benefits to Eastman will yield significant value creation and safety stock reduction, as well as a reduced carbon footprint.

This is yet another example how a good collaboration can yield innovative solutions that befits Eastman’s bottom line.
