Nefab enables improvements for Saflex

Optimized solutions lead to improved bottom line for Eastman

Eastman Procurement Manager  - Mexico, Antonio Maceda Maceda, along with others at Eastman worked with Nefab Mexico S.A. de C.V. to optimize packaging crates and saddle foam in support of Advanced Materials for Saflex products. The objective in this supplier collaboration effort was to fulfill increased customer orders by reducing costs, decreasing safety stock levels and reducing lead times. Several innovative solutions emerged from the work including light weighting of the crates and relocation of Nefab manufacturing capacities closer to the Santo Toribio site. The resulting benefits to Eastman will yield significant value creation and safety stock reduction, as well as a reduced carbon footprint.

This is yet another example how a good collaboration can yield innovative solutions that befits Eastman’s bottom line.

Through great collaboration between our team and our customers, we have successfully developed more sustainable packaging solutions. This accomplishment highlights the significant impact of a common purpose and collective actions. Each site, person and team that adopts sustainable practices plays a crucial role in the effort to combat climate change.

How to Protect Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment in Transit?

Semiconductor manufacturing leaves no room for error. Every process, every component, every piece of equipment operates within microscopic tolerances, and that precision can’t be compromised once the machines leave the cleanroom. Yet, shipping high-value parts such as electrostatic chucks, pedestals, or showerheads introduces a whole new layer of risk.
