A precise and efficient manufacturing process for producing plastic packaging solutions with complex shapes in a repeatable way.
Injection molding is a manufacturing process used to produce plastic parts. It's known for its efficiency and ability to produce complex shapes with high precision in a repeatable way.
The injection molding process involves heating raw material, injecting it into a mold, cooling it, and ejecting the finished part.
Nefab's injection molded packaging solutions range from pallets, trays, and lids to inserts and large containers, and are designed with durability and longevity in mind. We utilize a wide selection of resins, from virgin to recycled materials, each chosen to match the specific needs of your application. These solutions can be cleaned, repaired and reused throughout your program. We specialize in custom packaging solutions that can be complemented by standard offerings.
For our US-based customers, our online shop offers quick and easy access to our standard plastic packaging solutions.

Choosing the right manufacturing process is crucial for ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality in plastic packaging solutions. Injection molding is a preferred choice for companies in any sector, in particular OEM’s and Tier’s in the LiB and automotive industries, that want packaging...
Injection molded packaging solutions can be reused throughout the life of the program, fitting well into any logistics flow.
Injection molded plastic packaging can be manufactured with greater dimensional tolerance control than thermoforming. This is crucial for lasers, sensors, and grippers during automatic handling.
For businesses looking to produce medium to large quantities, injection molding is a cost-effective solution due to its ability to handle high-volume production efficiently.
Injection molded plastic packaging can be designed in more complex shapes compared to thermoformed solutions, ensuring optimal protection tailored to specific product needs.
Injection molding allows for a diverse selection of engineered resins, offering enhanced properties for specialized applications.
Nefab’s library of abrasion resistant TPU inserts makes it easy to reuse trays and containers in new programs.
Injection molded packaging can be made from up to 100% recycled content, including post-consumer recycled material.
Nefab's thermoformed packaging is made from recyclable materials creating a closed loop.
Based on customer requirements, our experienced engineers develop custom concepts. They design specifically for the injection molding manufacturing process with the whole packaging flow in mind.
Utilizing dedicated in-house 3D printers, Nefab can quickly and cost-effectively manufacture samples. In our certified ISTA labs, these samples undergo rigorous testing.
Nefab has its own in-house mold workshops across the world as well as a network of partners and to create tooling efficiently.
We manufacture custom packaging solutions in-house with a large range of injection molding machines and, when necessary, leverage a network of partners.
The most common plastic raw materials used in injection molding are high density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP). Additives can be added to improve some properties like stiffness, impact resistance, UV protection, etc. Alternatively, for specific applications there are engineered resins such as:
At Nefab, we follow standardized quality routines to ensure we consistently deliver high quality parts according to customer specifications.
Raw material (granules) and the color masterbatch are fed into the injection unit and heated.
The heated material is pushed into the cavity of the mold under high pressure.
Once the mold cavity is full the material is packed and cooled down.
When the material is solidified, the mold opens, and ejector pins push the part away from the mold.
As part of complete packaging and logistics solutions, Nefab offers added logistics services. This includes assembly work such as adding labels, label holders, loose inserts, tracking devices etc. Pooling services cover all operations required to provide returnable packaging when and where it is needed, e.g. repairing and cleaning.
Nefab offers take-back programs for used or discarded plastic packing, where possible. Once the packaging has fulfilled its lifecycle, we collect it for recycling, and reuse it as raw material to produce new plastic packaging.
Nefab saves environmental and financial resources by optimizing supply chains. We do so by innovating together with our customers to create smarter packaging and logistics solutions while always respecting people and ethical standards.
We provide complete packaging and logistics solutions that reduce total cost and environmental impact throughout the supply chain.
With over 250 engineers in 30 locations globally, we collaborate closely with customers to design, prototype, test, and deliver tailored packaging solutions.
