Fiber based material is available all over the world and the material can be customized to engineer mono-material solutions that can be recycled as easy as a sheet of paper, or to be used in combination with other material to create a packaging solution.
Corrugated is the most widely used packaging material in the industry. This is due in large part to its low cost, light weight and ease of use. The corrugated materials are very versatile, being available in many different styles (single wall, double wall, triple wall) and combinations — from standard box sizes to a wide range of customizable solutions. Arguably one of the most dynamic types of packaging available, corrugated boxes offer many benefits to consumers.

Corrugated and cushioning packaging solutions are used in a wide variation of solutions, and can be designed to protect dangerous goods classified products. Corrugated solutions are ideal for airfreight shipments, due to their low weight. One-way solutions are often made by corrugated material due to their recyclability.

Corrugated packaging is made from renewable fibers and is 100% recyclable. Accepted in the world’s largest recycling stream—paper recycling—corrugated materials offer accessible recycling options for consumers and businesses worldwide. Globally, 71% of all paper is recycled according to data collected by the EBB (European Environmental Bureau), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and Simapro. Corrugated fibers can be reused up to seven times, greatly maximizing resource efficiency and reducing the demand for virgin materials.
High recovery and recycling rates mean significantly less corrugated packaging ends up in landfills compared to less recycled alternatives. This makes corrugated packaging especially valuable for export and one-way shipments. Nefab customers have achieved up to 75% landfill waste reduction by switching to fully fiber-based packaging.
Corrugated packaging helps lower carbon emissions throughout the supply chain. Its lightweight design reduces transport weight, and the use of low-carbon materials further limits emissions. By transitioning to fully fiber-based packaging, many Nefab customers have seen significant decreases in CO2 output, especially for export and one-way shipping flows.

The slotted boxes can often be found as double folded sheets of corrugated board, which fold simply into a four-sided box. The top flaps meet in the center and can be taped, glued or stapled to close.

EdgePak is an optimized heavy duty corrugated solution with reinforced corners, which make a single wall construction as strong as a triple wall corrugated frame. It is cost efficient, fast to assemble and 100% paper recyclable.

Paper pallets are in many cases a considered alternative for export packaging. The main advantages with paper pallets are their low weight, recyclability and the ease of customization.

EdgePak Collar is a lightweight, fiber-based pallet collar solution. In one-way shipments, it reduces CO2 emissions, landfill waste, and transport costs while offering the same convenience as the wooden alternatives.
