Global supply chains are undergoing rapid transformation, shaped by climate ambitions, evolving regulations, and increasing demands for efficiency and resilience. For many manufacturers, reducing greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain has become a strategic priority. At Nefab, we recognize that packaging plays a critical role in this transition and represents a tangible lever to reduce emissions at scale across customer supply chains.
In 2025, we continued to deliver significant emissions reductions for our customers, reaching over 2.53 million tons of CO2eq in accumulated savings in customer supply chains since 2021, surpassing our target of 2.26 million tons.
To support customers in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and making informed sustainability decisions, Nefab continues to embed life cycle thinking into its packaging engineering process. Central to this approach is GreenCalc™, our proprietary Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool developed in collaboration with PRé-Sustainability and powered by industry-leading software, SIMAPro. GreenCalc enables engineers and customers to assess the environmental and financial impacts of packaging solutions across their full life cycle, from material selection and logistics flows to end-of-life outcomes, and to identify opportunities for CO2eq and cost savings.
Nefab is committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045, supported by a comprehensive carbon reduction strategy across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. Our approach addresses emissions from our own operations, including fuel use and refrigerants (Scope 1), as well as indirect emissions from purchased energy (Scope 2). We also target value chain emissions (Scope 3), such as those related to purchased goods and services,

To accelerate decarbonization across its operations, Nefab launched the Sustainability Carbon Transition Plan 2.0 in 2025, building on the original transition plan introduced in 2020. The updated plan strengthens Nefab’s approach by reassessing Scope 1 and 2 emission sources, refining reduction levers, reinforcing accountability, and continuing to serve as the core framework for emissions reduction, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Based on a comprehensive assessment of carbon emission sources across all Nefab sites, four main areas for Scope 1 and 2 reductionhave been identified:
