Sustainability remains a core element of Nefab’s corporate governance and long-term strategy. Building on the corporate strategy launched in recent years, where “Sustainability as a foundation for growth” is one of five strategic focus areas, Nefab continues to integrate sustainability considerations across all levels of the organization—from the Board of Directors to local operations.
Our governance framework is supported by the Sustainability Directive, which establishes sustainability as a formal pillar of corporate governance and provides a consistent structure for implementation and oversight. The directive brings together key policies, including the Environmental Policy, Code of Conduct, Health and Safety Policy, and Human Resources Policy, ensuring alignment across functions and regions. Through this integrated governance model, Nefab reinforces accountability, supports consistent execution, and enables a holistic approach to managing sustainability risks and opportunities while driving long-term value creation.
Nefab is committed to conducting business with integrity, transparency, and accountability across its global operations. Our Code of Conduct is aligned with the principles of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), providing a structured framework for responsible business practices covering labor standards, Safety and Health, environmental responsibility, and ethical conduct across our operations and supply chain.
Several Nefab sites globally undergo RBA audits, with multiple locations achieving Silver and Platinum ratings.
What RBA audits cover
RBA audits assess compliance with internationally recognized standards across five core areas:
At Nefab, procurement is a strategic enabler of sustainable growth, integrating sustainability, innovation, and risk management into sourcing decisions. Our supplier strategy aligns closely with our group vision and emphasizes strong supplier partnerships, cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
To meet evolving regulatory requirements and increasing customer demand for certified materials, Nefab is strengthening its approach to responsibly managed forests. Our ambition is to progressively increase site-level certification and material availability under internationally recognized forest certification schemes, including FSC®, PEFC, and SFI® to expand the use of certified materials across our operations.
In our commitment to sustainability, we engage with multiple governance frameworks that shape our responsible business practices. By integrating these standards into our strategies, we enhance transparency, foster accountability, and drive improvements in our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance
Nefab actively supports the advancement of several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a strong focus on SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
Nefab became a participant in the UN Global Compact in October 2008 by submitting a Letter of Commitment (LoC). The company continues to support and apply the UNGC principles in its operations and reporting. Nefab currently maintains “Active” participant status and reports annually through its Communication on Progress (CoP), most recently submitted in July 2025.
In 2025, we submitted our Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reduction targets for official validation by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with validation expected in 2026, further demonstrating our commitment to meaningful climate action.
Nefab has participated in the CDP initiative since 2018, demonstrating its commitment to structured environmental disclosure and continuous improvement. In 2025, Nefab achieved a B score, reflecting progress in strengthening its environmental management and reporting practices. We continue working toward achieving an A score in the coming years as part of our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and transparent sustainability performance.
At Nefab, EcoVadis supports our holistic sustainability approach, which extends beyond climate action to include social and governance performance. In 2025, Nefab achieved a score of 63/100, up from 55/100 in 2024, and was awarded a Bronze Medal.
